Some catadioptric telescopes don't fit the Schmidt or Maksutov pattern. Vixen's VISAC design, used in the VC200L, combines a curved main mirror with a small corrector lens group near the secondary mirror to give a flat, wide field for photography. These are less common used, and support for them comes mostly from the maker and specialist dealers. Check the optics, the collimation and the focuser, and make sure the dovetail fits a mount strong enough for the tube.
